We ordered the Murph’s and Crabby pizza for three people and were extremely disappointed with how alarmingly thin the pizza was. I understand it’s the style but the eating experience was unsatisfactory. The toppings were meager, the pizza got cold quickly and the oil from the pesto sauce was seeping through the bottom of the pizza box. I called Side Pie and offered to leave my contact details for when the manager was in next, and instead was told to call back when the manager was in. Not a great customer service experience. I emailed the contact section of the website a three days ago and haven’t received a reply. Doesn’t feel good to be paying higher prices for pizza to support local businesses, ensuring staff get adequate pay and sourcing of good ingredients if the responsiveness to a complaint takes a while.

Awesome experience and pizza here! Funky place where you walk in to order at a counter, grab your drinks, and go. If you want to eat in they have a big patio in the back where they'll bring your pizzas out to you. The pizzas are awesome. They are a modern artisinal cross between traditional neopolitan and NYC style pizzas with a thin crust. The pizzas are beautifully charred with great leoparding and the ingredients are all really high quality. Highly recommend and will be back!

i got Murphys Green and it was quite good. thin crust was nice and had the perfect amount of chew/weight in the crust for my taste. pesto was tasty and a good balance, i think less toppings are okay since the crust is so thin. i ate the whole pie by myself oops
workers were very sweet, everything was very clean. a little expensive but i was very impressed with the speed and taste 👍

I had the misfortune of dining at this pizza place, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience. We ordered several pizzas of these three flavors: vegan, pepperoni, and margherita. All three were the worst thin crust I’ve ever had—you could barely handle them without them falling apart. They were extremely oily and absolutely drenched in sauce, with barely any toppings, and each slice came with entire garlic cloves for the vegan one. How appetizing, right? As if that wasn't enough, the setup of the place is just bizarre. After ordering, you're sent on a little adventure carrying on your beverages on the street to find the "outdoor patio" all the way in the alley. But the real cherry on top? The bathroom. It's one of those charming, non-hygienic public restroom cabins. Honestly, the gas station bathroom across the street is a step up—if you’re into that sort of luxury. I’m never coming back here, and I certainly won’t recommend it to a friend. If I could give it 0 stars, I would.

First let me say, the restaurant looks amazing and the people working the counter are easy to talk to and kind. When it comes to pizza, Side Pie is literally the worst pizza I've had in the "thin crust" genre. Coming from New York, thin crust pizza should be something in the world of "Joe's" and has support, crunch and is easy to chew/digest. Side Pie pizza was SUPER OILY and literally the thinnest pizza I've ever had, and not in a good way. We ordered 2 pizzas and by the time we were half through both (even with keeping the box shut) the pies were stiff, cold and chewy. I think after tip, we paid $63 for the two pies. Crazy. The experience did make me have a creative moment and I'm getting a couple of t-shirts made that say, "Side Pie Pizza Made me by a Prime Pizza T-shirt" Moral of the story is. The place is beautiful and the staff is kind, though they lack the experience or effort to manage complaints, the prices are insane and the pizza just isn't good for take away. Maybe it's good if you eat it there, right away? There's really no way to cut it. If you want good pizza in Altadena find a different spot.
